SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS
KART RACE MEETINGS
1.
The Guernsey
Kart and Motor Club LBG (GK&MC LBG) will organise a Clubman’s Permit Kart
Race Meeting on……………………………..…at The Track, Victoria Avenue, St Sampsons,
Guernsey.
2.
The meeting will
be held under the General Regulations of the MSA Motor Sports Association
Limited, (Incorporating the provisions of the International Sporting Code of
the FIA), the Supplementary Regulations and written instructions issued by the
GK&MC LBG.
3.
The Track
measures 400 Metres, has 6 corners and the surface is of Tarmac.
4.
MSA Clubman’s
permits have been applied for.
5.
The event is
open to all fully paid up members of the GK&MC LBG, and Jersey Motor Cycle
and Light Car Club and Jersey Kart Club.
6.
All competitors
must produce a valid Competition Licence, Medical Certificate and Club
Membership Card when signing on.
7.
The event is a
round of the Guernsey Championship. Drivers will have to drop one rounds points
from the years total.
8.
The programme
times will be:
Signing
on closes 60 minutes before the scheduled start.
Scrutineering
closes 30 minutes before scheduled start.
Drivers
briefing 10 minutes before start.
Practise
commences 5 minutes before scheduled start.
First
Race on time.
9.
There will be
three Heats and a Final per class (numbers of laps and heats may change subject
to time restrictions)
Cadet
Heats will be 8 laps and the Final 12 laps.
Junior
Heats will be 10 laps and the Final 15 laps.
Senior
Heats will be 15 laps and the Final 20 laps
Additional
races will be held if time permits.
10.
Each competitor
will have the opportunity of taking part in a practice session of a minimum of
3 laps.
11.
The event is
open to all MSA/ABKC classes and the classes described in paragraph 22 of these
Supplementary Regulations (where grids and time allow).
12.
Trophies will be
awarded for the Heats and the Finals Championships and additional trophy races
may be included in the programme of events. Points will be awarded as follows
1st=12,
2nd=9, 3rd=7, 4th=6, 5th=5, 6th=4,
7th=3, 8th=2, all karts that complete at least 50% of the
race distance will be classed as a finisher and awarded points on a roll back
of laps basis, all karts that take the start will be awarded 1 point.
13.
The maximum
entry for the meeting is 75, the minimum is 9. The maximum for each race is 14,
the minimum is 3. Should any of the above figures not be reached, the
organisers reserve the right to cancel the meeting or amalgamate races or
classes as necessary. Entries will be selected on receipt of entry.
14.
Entries open
upon publication of Supplementary Regulations and close one week prior to
event. Entries must be made on the official entry form and accompanied by the
appropriate fee. Entries to be sent to:

15.
The entry fee is
£28.00 Senior and £22.00 Junior and Cadet. Late entry will be charged an
additional £5.00 penalty. Entry on the day may be charged double. Entry fees
may be refunded as follows:

a Doctors Certificate

in event of
cancellation 50% of entry fee

Entry fees may

17.
All protests
must be logged in accordance with the relevant sections of the current MSA year
book.
18.
Starting
positions will be determined by ballot for the first Heat and the invitation
races. The second and third Heats will be by rotation. Novice drivers will
start at the back of the grid for all races excluding Finals. The grid
positions for the Final will be by the greatest numbers of points gained from
the Heats for all competitors including novice drivers. All drivers will need to
use transponders fitted to the back of the seat.
19.
Marking and
Penalties will be printed in the appropriate section of the MSA General
Regulations except as modified below:
If
during the course of a meeting a Competitor is found to be in breach of noise regulations,
he/she may be given a back grid position for his/her next race. Continual abuse
may result in exclusion.
20.
Cadet/Junior
incident marshals will be allowed on circuit provided they have signed on and
are wearing fluorescent safety bibs. They shall be positioned around the
circuit and in accordance with the race officials.
21.
All 100cc karts
must use an approved commercially produced unmodified additional silencer end
cap on the exit of the standard exhaust system. The Titan is not allowed.

Guernsey Championship.
