SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS

KART RACE MEETINGS – SUMMER SERIES 2009

AMENDMENT / ADDITION TO SECTION 12

12. Trophies may be awarded for the Heats and the Finals Championships and additional trophy races may be included in the programme of events. Points will be awarded as follows; - 1^st=12, 2^nd=9, 3^rd=7, 4^th=6, 5^th=5, 6^th=4, 7^th=3, 8^th=2. All other finishers one point. All karts that complete at least 50% of the race distance will be classed as a finisher and awarded points on a roll back of laps basis, all karts that take the start will be awarded 1 point.

In the event of two or more drivers finishing on equal points in the championship the winner will be determined on the most number of Finals wins followed by 2^nd, 3^rd places etc. until a winner is declared. If there is still a tie after this, Heat wins and positions will be taken into consideration. Any further tie, then these drivers will be declared as joint winners.

The above method will also be used to determine lower place awards and Heats finals, if awarded.

If the event of the meeting being cancelled or abandoned no Finals or Heats points will be awarded.
